Year one of the GOLD Program

GOLD, one of the new signature programs of the reimagined Women’s College, began this fall at Brenau University.

W Courses

GOLD curriculum features W courses, open exclusively to students in The Women’s College, designed to focus on the expertise and experience of women. Students entering in fall 2019 take 10 W courses as part of their degree programs, and current Women’s College students may take these courses as space permits.

G Year

The first-year experience is the “G” year. Focused on gender, current first-year students are celebrating sisterhood and being empowered to take on the world. It includes:

  • A women speakers series.
  • A gender studies course.
  • A personal advisory board known as your Gold Team.
  • Alumnae and sister class connections and mentoring.
  • The First-Year Experience, now redesigned as a W course.
