Lisa Bennett, WC ’77, is part of a six-woman swimming relay team. The team, comprised of women all over the age 55, started swimming together as The Mighty Mermaids in 2008 to raise money by swimming across Lake Tahoe. The group also swam around Manhattan Island, across the Catalina Channel and, most recently, 25 miles in 10.5 hours to raise more than $10,000 for the Starlight Foundation. The Mermaids are from all over the United States. Bennett currently resides in Coconut Creek, Florida.
