Melinda Jeffers, BU’96, BU ’99

Melinda Jeffers, BU’96, BU ’99, of Cave Spring, Georgia, won election in November to an open seat on the Floyd County Board of Education with more than 75 percent of the vote. The veteran educator currently teaches at the Cave Spring Vocational Rehabilitation Center as an education instructor to deaf and hard-of-hearing young adults. She began her career in education in 1991 at Chestnut Mountain Elementary School in Hall County. She has a bachelor’s degree in middle grades education and a master’s from Brenau as well as an education specialist degree from Lincoln Memorial University.
