Candice Dyer

Writer
Cleveland, Ga.

You can find numerous samples of Dyer’s work in Brenau Window magazine. But that is not the only place. The 1992 graduate and journalism major started her career in newspapers, but she turned her off-duty hours during the time she spent as a reporter for the Macon Telegraph into a detailed research project into the middle Georgia city’s eclectic music scene. That became the basis for her book Street Singers, Soul Shakers and Rebels with a Cause: Music from Macon. Dyer, noted for her unique style that blends thoughtful intellectualism and down-home wit and irreverence – writes prolifically for a number of national and regional publications – most frequently Atlanta Magazine.
