Before she graduated from high school, Rosanne Short was on The Today Show with Tom Brokaw. As a student at the Foxfire program in the northeast Georgia mountains, the Cornelia resident had taken photographs that appeared on the cover of one of the nationally renowned Foxfire books, and Brokaw has her and other students on the program. Short, a member of Alpha Gamma Delta, earned an undergraduate degree in journalism and public relations at the Women’s college in 1999 and a master’s in organizational leadership on 2006. She currently teaches communications classes online at Brenau. Her recently published work includes articles The Foxfire 45th Anniversary Book: Singin’, Praisin’, Raisin’, Southern Living’s Georgia Living and The Alpha Gamma Delta Quarterly.
