Kimberly Laburda Dotson

Dotson, KimberlySenior Healthcare Pharmaceutical Representative
Pfizer Pharmaceuticals, Springfield, Mo.

From the time she graduated in 2002 as a mass communication major and a member of Alpha Delta Pi until five years, Dotson was a rising star in local television news as a news anchor and reporter. She literally left Brenau with no job prospects and only a demo tape in hand, but after knocking on doors all over the eastern United States, she in two months landed a reporter’s job at WBBJ-TV in Jackson, Tenn. She quickly moved into the morning show anchor desk, then to stations in Albany, Ga., Peoria, Ill., and Springfield, Mo., where she for two years was host of “Good Morning Springfield.” Toward the end of her contract, Pfizer came calling, and, she says, “I decided to close one chapter of my life in search of another. It’s a decision I will never regret…. Brenau and the Mass Communications Department helped instill the confidence and knowledge I needed to guide me down the right paths in life.”
