Marla Lear, WC ‘08, was approved by the Hall County School Board as the new principal of Myers Elementary School in Gainesville, Georgia. Lear took over in June for former principal Beth Hudgins, who will retire at the end of the 2020 school year. After completing her bachelor’s degree in education from Brenau, she earned her masters degree from Georgia State University and an education specialist degree at Piedmont College. Lear has worked as an educator in Hall County since 2005.
