As a Brenau student in the 1970s, Andrews was the first student manager of WBCX-FM, the Brenau-licensed radio station. After a career of more than 30 years in radio in North Georgia and North Carolina, he returned to Brenau to oversee the radio station and help with development of other digital and multimedia communications vehicles for the university. He recently re-launched the “Jay Andrews in the Morning” music, news and informational radio program.
