Valerie Goswick Hegwood

An English major and a member of Alpha Gamma Delta, the 1989 Women’s College graduate has worked as a grant writer and public relations coordinator for the visual and performing arts in Atlanta and Dalton, where she resides now. She writes regularly for Dalton Magazine and other publications, and she created The Diabetic Snob, a blog about living a full and creative life with the chronic disease. In 2011 she published her first novel for young adults, Addie August, Junior Mystery Writer: The Case of the Long Lost Brother under the pen name “Vee Gee Hegg,” and she is working on a second book in the “Addie August” series.
