Kelly Castlin-Gucatan, BU ’95
Kelly Castlin-Gucatan, BU ’95, has been selected as the new superintendent of Birmingham City Schools in Birmingham, Alabama. Castlin-Gucatan has worked in education since 1991, serving as a teacher, an assistant principal, principal, administrator and recently as interim superintendent of the Bibb County School system in Macon, Georgia. She has a bachelor’s degree from Tennessee State University, a master’s in education from Brenau University and a doctorate in educational leadership from Nova Southeastern University.
