Joyce Wilson

Joyce Wilson, BU ’99

Joyce Wilson, BU ‘99, was awarded the National Outstanding Resource Development Professional by The Boys & Girls Clubs of America. Wilson is the chief development officer of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Lanier. During her 18 years with the nonprofit, she has been a part of a new name in 2017, and saw the execution of new sites like the Teen Center in 2006, an expansion on Memorial Park Drive in 2010, and a location established in Forsyth County in 2018.

Andrea McConnell, BU ‘19, now works at Excel Rehab and Sports in Seneca, South Carolina. Born and raised in Easley, South Carolina, Andrea earned her masters of science in occupational therapy from Brenau. When Andrea is not treating patients, she loves Crossfit, running long distances, and spending time with her fiancé Tyler and her dog Bo.

April Sisson Conti, WC ’97, was inducted into the 2020 Fannin County Sports Hall of Fame. Conti works as a nurse in Atlanta, where she lives with her husband Sal and son Evan.

Dr. Jennifer Allison, WC ’92 & ’03, is currently serving as the President of the Georgia Occupational Therapy Association (GOTA). GOTA exists to serve as a resource for members, consumers, practitioners, and policy makers related to the practice of occupational therapy in the State of Georgia.

Lynn Fink, WC ‘82, retired from teaching after 26 years with Dekalb County Schools. She is still operating a math tutoring business for K-8 students.

Shannon McIntosh, WC ’86, won a 2020 Golden Globe for her work as a producer on the film “Once Upon a Time in Hollywood.”
