Amber Markmann Simmons, WC ’03, received her PhD in Language and Literacy Education from UGA in Dec. 2012. She is published in professional peer-reviewed journals such as English Journal, Journal of Adolescent and Adult Literacy, and SIGNAL Journal. She has also contributed chapters to many professional books on English education. She is currently teaching in Gwinnett County.
