New Anatomy Lab Opens

Brenau’s new anatomy lab at the Downtown Center is now in use by students including the first doctoral physical therapy class. Construction on the lab began in October of 2014 and hosted an open house in April 2015. The 10-station lab features MondoPads and cameras to enhance the student experience in anatomy classes.

Jack And Suzy Welch Speak At Brenau

The legendary former General Electric CEO Jack Welch and his wife, business journalist and television commentator Suzy Welch, visited Brenau University’s historic Pearce Auditorium Thursday, April 30, to discuss their second book, The Real-Life MBA, with Brenau President Ed Schrader and David Miller, professor of healthcare management at Brenau.  

Gov. Nathan Deal Signs Brenau OT Bill

Governor Nathan Deal signs House Bill 62 into law during the Atlanta Press Club lunch Wednesday, April 29, in font of Brenau occupational therapy alumnae Rachel Strazynski, Shelby Wrenn and Allison Guisasola. HB 62, which helps special needs children of military personnel by lifting a one-year residency requirement before students can receive benefits, started as a class project the Brenau students worked on and pitched to Representative Kevin Tanner as they earned their graduate degrees.

Nyssa Mooney, WC ’08, will begin her dream job of teaching art education this fall at Mount Vernon Elementary. Prior to this new position, Nyssa was a beloved teacher at Brenau’s Child Development Center.
