Lainey Welsch Kennedy, WC ’08, and husband Kalin welcomed their first daughter, Lillian Rose, on June 5, 2014 at 10:24 p.m. Lillian weighed 7 pounds, 8 ounces and measured 21 1/2 inches.

Kallarin Richards, WC ’06

Kallarin Richards, WC ’06, married Josh Mackey on June 14, 2014 at the Chattahoochee County Club in Gainesville, Georgia. Since graduating from Brenau, Richards has worked in various government relations roles. She recently became director of public policy with the Georgia Hospital Association. She and her husband reside in Brookhaven, Georgia.

Khalilah Robinson Johnson, WC ’05, is a now a Ph.D. candidate at University of North Carolina, Chapel Hill.

Lynnette Swanson, BU ’04

Lynnette Swanson, BU ’04, has been named the head coach for the US bocce team at the Special Olympics World Games in Los Angeles. Swanson also served as the head coach for the US team at the Athens world games in 2011.

Jessi Barker Shrout, WC ’04, announces the birth of her daughter, Emily Renee. She was born June 13, 2014 and weighed 6 pounds, 9 ounces.

Amber Markmann Simmons, WC ‘03, and her husband Matthew Simmons welcomed a son, Graham Walker, into the world on May 25, 2014. Graham weighed 6.14 pounds and was 21.5 inches long.

Abra Bazydlo, WC ’03, was recently married to Mike Bailey. Fellow Brenau alumna Laura Dearman Cape, WC ‘03, was in attendance and Nicole Riale, WC ’05, was the maid of honor. The couple now lives in Philadelphia.

J. Myron Faircloth, BU ’02, was appointed to the Lowndes County Board of Health in July, 2014.
