Since 2011, I have had the honor and pleasure of serving the Brenau alumni body as executive director. I have met thousands of amazing Brenau women and men who are doing extraordinary things all around the world. Each of you has shaped my life in wonderful ways, so it is with sadness that I announce a close to this chapter.

My family and I have moved to Thomasville, Georgia, to follow my husband’s career path and fulfill our dream of country living on a 25-acre hay farm. To say that this is a bittersweet decision is an understatement. The Brenau family means the world to me. During my time here, I became a mother, completed a master’s degree and made lifelong friends in my colleagues and in you. Brenau is indeed a special place.

As someone who has worked extensively alongside the Brenau administration, I can assure you that the university is in the most capable of hands. Dr. Schrader is a visionary leader with a passion for education. He understands the historical and foundational nature of the Women’s College and is dedicated to not only preserving it, but also keeping it vibrant. He is an innovative forward-thinker – always seeking ways to improve the scope and impact of Brenau nationally and globally. Dr. Schrader is surrounded by faculty who have a love for learning, trustees with hearts for giving, staff who truly care for our students and alumni who have taken the lessons learned here and spread knowledge all over the world.

I look forward to continuing to work professionally with such a great group of people over the coming weeks as the university seeks candidates to fill this position. However, I am extremely excited to find my place alongside each of you within the Alumni Association in future volunteer endeavors. Because I believe in the future of Brenau, I am continuing my financial support for both the Annual Fund and the ForeverGold campaign through five-year pledges. It is the least I can do to “repay” this special place for caring so deeply for me. I challenge you to do the same.
